JOB OPPORTUNITY

The Lady Reading Hospital, Medical Teaching Institution, Peshawar invites applications for the following:

FACULTY POSITIONS

Qualification & Experience Required

Accident & Emergency

 
S. No. Requirement
i. MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by PM&DC with higher diploma in the relevant specialty such as FCPS in Emergency Medicine, MRCEM, FACEM, FEBEM, or a US Board certification or equivalent qualification in Emergency recognized by PM&DC.
ii. Eligibility shall be as per prevailing KP-MTI Selection Criteria, with at least 3 years' experience in a reputable institution after subspecialty as an emergency physician after training will be considered. Evidence of scholarly activity/publications and teaching is required.
iii. The selected candidate will receive a faculty position at the appropriate level (Assistant, Associate, or full Professor).

Pathology

i. MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by PM&DC with Higher diploma in the relevant specialty such as FCPS or FRCPath, American Board Certification, or equivalent qualification recognized by PM&DC.
ii. Eligibility shall be as per prevailing KP-MTI Selection Criteria, with at least 7 years' experience in a reputable institution after subspecialty training will be considered. Evidence of scholarly activity/publications and teaching is required.
iii. The selected candidate will receive a faculty position at the appropriate level (Assistant, Associate, or full Professor).

Urogynecology

 
S. No. Requirement
i. FCPS (Obs gynae), MRCOG/FRCOG or equivalent with Fellowship or Sub Specialty certification (Exam Passed) in Urogynecology / Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) recognized by PM&DC.
ii. Eligibility shall be as per prevailing KP-MTI Selection Criteria.
iii. In case an applicant does not fulfil the prevailing KP-MTI eligibility criteria for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, candidate may apply for the post of Instructor.
iv. Candidate applying for the post of Instructor must have cleared the Fellowship Examination in Urogynecology from a recognized equivalent recognized qualification.

Interventional Radiology

i. Candidate must possess an MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by PM&DC, followed by a higher qualification in Diagnostic Radiology such as FCPS, FRCR, American Board Certification, or an equivalent qualification recognized by PM&DC, along with post-fellowship training or a recognized subspecialty qualification in Interventional Radiology (e.g., EBIR or equivalent) with relevant experience in the field.
ii. Eligibility shall be as per the prevailing KP-MTI Selection Criteria.
iii. In case an applicant does not fulfil the prevailing KP-MTI eligibility criteria for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, they may apply for the post of Instructor.
iv. Candidate applying for the post of Instructor must have cleared the Fellowship Examination in EBIR or equivalent recognized qualification.

Neonatology

 
S. No. Requirement
i. Candidates must possess an MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by PM&DC, followed by a higher qualification such as FCPS, FRCS, American Board Certification, or an equivalent qualification recognized by PM&DC, along with post-fellowship training or a recognized subspecialty qualification in Neonatology or equivalent with relevant experience in the field.
ii. Eligibility shall be as per the prevailing KP-MTI Selection Criteria.
iii. In case an applicant does not fulfill the prevailing KP-MTI eligibility criteria for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, they may apply for the post of Instructor.
iv. Candidates applying for the post of Instructor must have cleared the Fellowship Examination in Neonatology or equivalent recognized qualification.

General Instructions

  1. Governing Rules: The service of the incumbent will be governed by the Rules and Regulations of the institution under Medical Teaching Institution Reform Act, 2015 and amendments therein.

  2. Application Requirements: Applications must be supported by a covering letter and a detailed Curriculum Vitae, including the names, email addresses, and contact numbers of three referees, and must be submitted to the following address through Registered Courier Service by 25/09/2026. However, this job advertisement may be treated as a "Running Job Advertisement" till filling of all the vacancies.

  3. Incomplete Applications: Incomplete applications or applications submitted by hand shall not be entertained.

  4. Resignation Requirement: Candidates currently serving as civil servants or in any other government service or in any other institution will be required to resign from their previous post if selected at LRH-MTI.

  5. Selection Committee: Any attempt to approach or influence the selection committee will automatically disqualify the applicant.

  6. Final Decision: The decision of the selection committee as approved by the Board of Governors will be final.

  7. No Correspondence: After a final decision, no correspondence regarding the process will be entertained.

  8. Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.

  9. Right to Cancel: The Institution reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
