GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN

FINANCE DIVISION

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: PRESIDENT / CEO, NATIONAL BANK OF PAKISTAN (NBP)

The Finance Division requires the services of a dynamic and qualified full-time professional for the position of President / Chief Executive Officer (CEO), National Bank of Pakistan (NBP). This appointment will be made in accordance with Section 11(3)(a) of the Banks (Nationalization) Act, 1974.

Eligibility Criteria & Prerequisites

  • Qualification: Minimum of graduation or equivalent degree from a local or foreign institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.

  • Experience: Must be a career banker with a minimum of 5 years of experience at a senior executive level (Executive Vice President and above, or equivalent) in a commercial bank or Development Finance Institution (DFI).

  • Age Limit: Must be between 40 to 62 years of age on the closing date of the advertisement.

  • Nationality: Must be a Pakistani national.

  • Regulatory Compliance:

    • Name must be included in, or eligible for inclusion in, the panel of professional bankers maintained by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

    • Must fully satisfy the Fit & Proper Test Criteria mandated by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

Emoluments & Benefits

  • The terms, conditions, and salary package of the selected candidate shall be settled in accordance with the laid down procedures in the Banks (Nationalization) Act, 1974.
