VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Applications are invited for the following positions at PIFD Karachi Campus/Centre on a purely contract basis, as per PIFD Statutes.

Applicants are required to submit applications along with the original bank deposit slip showing online deposit / pay order / demand draft in favor of Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design, deposited in Habib Bank Limited, Expo Centre Branch, Lahore.

1. Assistant Professor

Department/Field: Fashion Design / Design
Number of Posts: One (01)
Nature of Post: Purely on Contract Basis

Minimum Qualification:

• PhD in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university
  OR

• Master’s degree (Foreign) or MPhil or equivalent degree (18 years of education) in the relevant field

Experience (as per HEC/PIFD criteria):

• Relevant teaching/research experience in an HEC-recognized university, postgraduate institution, or professional organization

• Post-PhD experience requirements apply as per prevailing HEC rules

Publications/Achievements:

• Outstanding professional achievements in Fashion & Design

• National or international recognition with documented creative or research contributions

2. Assistant Professor

Department: Fashion Design
Number of Posts: Two (02)
Nature of Post: Purely on Contract Basis

Minimum Qualification:

• PhD in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university
  OR

• Master’s/MPhil or equivalent degree (18 years education) in the relevant field

Experience:
As per HEC eligibility criteria

• Fashion Design

• Textile Design

• Gems & Jewellery Design

Nature of Post: Purely on Contract Basis

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

• First Professional Degree relevant to PIFD disciplines from an HEC-recognized institution

• No third division in the academic career

• Teaching or professional experience will be preferred

4. Deputy Director (Computer)

Nature of Post: Contract (PIFD Rules)

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

• Master’s degree or equivalent

• Minimum 5 years of relevant administrative/technical experience

Nature of Post: Contract

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

• Graduate from an HEC-recognized university

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience

• Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of word processing and typing

6. Technical Assistant

Department: Textile Design (Printing & Dyeing)
Nature of Post: Contract

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

• Matric with practical knowledge of printing, dyeing, and exposure techniques

• Minimum 4 years experience in a university or college

Department: Textile Design (Weaving)

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

• Matric with hands-on skills in loom handling and weaving

• Minimum 4 years relevant experience
