FMH COLLEGE OF MEDICINE & DENTISTRY

POSITIONS VACANT

Fatima Memorial Hospital College of Medicine & Dentistry is a 470-bed, multi-specialty, tertiary care teaching institution. It is affiliated with Fatima Memorial Hospital and is recognized for postgraduate training by the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP) across all major disciplines.

The institution offers state-of-the-art clinical and diagnostic services, provided by expert clinicians, to patients from all walks of life. FMH College is seeking highly motivated and dedicated faculty members who are familiar with modern learning strategies and integrated curricula, in line with PMDC guidelines, for the following vacant positions:

1. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

Departments: ENT, Psychiatry

Qualification Requirements:

  • MBBS with FCPS or equivalent postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject.

  • A mandatory diploma or certification in Medical Education (minimum one year or as specified).

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor at a PMDC-recognized institution in the relevant subject.

Research Requirements:

  • A minimum of 9 research publications, with at least 7 publications completed during tenure as Assistant Professor, in peer-reviewed, indexed journals.

2. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

Departments: Anatomy, Biochemistry, Medical Education, Accident & Emergency, Neurosurgery, Medical Oncology

Qualification Requirements:

  • MBBS with FCPS, M.Phil, or an equivalent postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at a PMDC-recognized institution in the relevant subject.

Research Requirements:

  • At least 2 research publications in the relevant subject, published in peer-reviewed, indexed journals.

3. SENIOR REGISTRAR

Departments: Surgery, Ophthalmology, ENT, Orthopaedic Surgery, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Family Medicine, Accident & Emergency, Neurosurgery

Qualification Requirements:

  • MBBS with FCPS or an equivalent postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject.

Additional Preferences:

  • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a Ph.D. (where applicable).

  • Experience in undergraduate medical education, research, curricular design, assessment techniques, and integration of technology will be highly regarded.

  • A strong record of high-impact research publications is desirable.

Important Notes:

  • For faculty positions of Assistant Professor and above, it is mandatory for candidates to obtain an Experience Equivalence Certificate from the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC).
