?? Position Details

Position Title: Assistant Professor

BPS Scale: 19

Nature of Appointment: Regular

Age Limit: 25–45 years (Relaxable under university rules)

?? Minimum Qualification Requirements

All candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in the relevant subject from an institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Where applicable, registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) is mandatory.

Subject-Specific Requirements (Examples):

Engineering Subjects (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical):

Ph.D. in the respective discipline from an HEC-recognized university

Must be registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC)

Environmental Science / Environmental Engineering:

Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences or Environmental Engineering from an HEC-recognized university

Law:

Ph.D. in Law or

LLM or JD (Foreign), OR

First Professional Law Degree (4 years, 1st Division, no third division in academic career)

With minimum 4–6 years teaching/research or professional experience in relevant field

Fine Arts:

Ph.D. in Fine Arts
OR

Master’s (Foreign) or M.Phil (18 years of education) in Fine Arts + 4 years teaching/research experience
OR

First Professional Degree (4 years, 1st division) + 6 years experience (teaching/research/professional)

Business / Commerce / Management Sciences:

Ph.D. in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, HRM, or related fields

Computer Science / Software Engineering / IT:

Ph.D. in respective area from HEC-recognized institution

For all other disciplines (e.g., Psychology, English, Islamic Studies, Mass Communication, Sociology, etc.), a Ph.D. in the relevant field is required from an HEC-recognized university.
