We Are Hiring

Under the provisions of Regulation 9, 10, and 11 of NADRA Employees (Service) Regulations, 2002, applications are invited from highly skilled and experienced professionals for the following position:

Position: Assistant Director (Database Administrator)

Location: Islamabad
Maximum Age: 37 years

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent (HEC verified, 16 years of education).

  • Master’s degree will be preferred.

  • All degrees must be attested by HEC.

Professional Experience

  • Preferably 2 years of post-graduation experience in database management within a reputable organization.

  • Experience in:

    • Database administration and troubleshooting (Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c)

    • Installation, configuration, and patching of Oracle Databases

    • Database migration, upgrades, and backup/recovery procedures

    • Working in Linux environments and familiarity with shell scripting

Skills & Competencies

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Oracle RAC (Real Application Cluster)

    • Data Guard

    • Golden Gate

  • Capability in:

    • Managing large datasets and high-volume transactions in mission-critical systems

    • Writing ad hoc queries based on schema knowledge

    • Ensuring database high availability and optimal performance

    • Implementing and monitoring security measures and compliance

    • Monitoring database usage, transaction volume, and performance metrics

    • Performing and validating backup/restoration processes

    • Providing technical assistance to development teams

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification will be preferred.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Appointment will be on a 5-year contract, extendable if required.

  2. Management reserves the right to accept or reject any application without assigning a reason.

  4. False information will result in disqualification.

  5. Government/Semi-Government employees must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC).

  6. 5 years of age relaxation is already included in the advertised limit.

  7. Selected candidates must provide Medical Fitness and Character Certificates.

  8. No TA/DA will be admissible.

  9. HEC-attested degrees and credentials from relevant regulatory bodies must be presented at the time of interview.

  10. Females, minorities, transgender persons, and differently-abled candidates are encouraged to apply.
