07 Assistant Engineer
(BPS-16) Post 01,		 Bachelor of Science (4 years study) Electrical / Mechanical / Civil from a recognized University / Institution. OR Bachelor of Technology. OR Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Electrical / Mechanical / civil Engineering from a recognized Institution. Experience in the relevant field preferable. OR Experience in the relevant field preferable. OR 6 years' experience of construction / maintenance of buildings, roads and civil services or other work in the relevant field as overseer in a government department I autonomous organization or in an equivalent position in a private concern of repute.
08 Deputy Assistant Director-IT
(BPS-16) Posts-02		 2nd Class Graduation in Computer Science/ Software Engineering/ IT/ Telecom Engineering or equivalent from a HEC recognized University 04 years' experience in Implementation/ Operations and support of Data Base/ Software! Web! Video Conferencing/ Systems/ E-Learning/ Networks/ IT Operations/ IT Projects/ Data Centre/ Security in a Government/ Semi-Government or Autonomous Body of repute preferably in BPS-14 or equivalent.
09 Computer Assistant
(BPS-14) Post-01		 2nd Class Graduate with 1 year Diploma in Computer Science from a recognized Institution. OR 2,. Class Associate Director in CS/IT/SE/ Electronics 2 years experience in Data Handling, Data Control and Computer Operations. Data entry Operator/ Supervisor in Government Department or Autonomous Body.
10 Senior IT Worker
(BPS-12) Post-01		 FA / F.Sc with 01 year Diploma in Computer Science OR Intermediate with Computer Science (ICS) I DAE (CS/IT/SE / Electronics) At least 01 year experience in the relevant field. OR 2 years' experience in the relevant field.
11 IT Helper
(BPS-09) Post-01		 Intermediate with Computer Science (ICS). Experience in the relevant field preferable.
12 IT Technician
(BPS-09) Post-01		 Intermediate with Computer Science (ICS). Experience in the relevant field, preferable.
13 IT Worker

Important Points

  1. The eligibility of the candidates shall be determined as per HEC criteria and subsequent short listing scrutiny shall strictly be determined/ carried out as per the provisions laid down in the AIOU services statutes 1978 as amended from time to time and AIOU Recruitment Policy.

  3. Maximum age limit as prescribed under Rules shall be relaxed in pursuance of Relaxation of Upper Age Limit Rules. 1993 (amended from time to time), as provided in AIOU Services Statutes 1978 (amended from time to time).
  4. Applicants are required to apply online, through AIOU Job Portal on www.aiou.edu.pk. Paid Challan in original is required to be presented at the time of test/interview.
  5. The candidates must submit their applications ONLINE. No hard copy of        applications is acceptable. However, at the time of written
    test/interview, the candidates will have to bring original certificates/fee challan for verification.
  6. Applicants working on Regular/acting charge/officiating/Ad-hoc/current charge, and/or contract basis in Government/Semi-Government and Autonomous Bodies (including employees of AIOU) must apply through proper channel and submit NOG, service certificate(s) issued by the respective Controlling Authority, by due date, failing which application shall be considered incomplete and liable to be rejected.
  7. Information claimed in on-line application form will be treated as final, subsequent claims of experience and any other, earlier not given in on­line application form, are considered after though and an attempt to become eligible. Such subsequent claims shall not be accepted.
  8. The AIOU reserves the right to increase / decrease the number of posts or not to fill any post / withhold the appointment against any post, without assigning any reason thereof.
