Eligibility & Shortlisting Criteria

  • HEC Criteria: Candidate eligibility will be strictly determined as per Higher Education Commission (HEC) criteria.

  • Statutory Regulations: Shortlisting and scrutiny will be carried out under the provisions of the AIOU Services Statutes 1978, the "AIOU Recruitment & Promotion Rules 2022" Policy, and the university's approved Internal Assessment Framework.

  • Age Relaxation: Upper age limit relaxation will be granted in accordance with the Relaxation of Upper Age Limit Rules, 1993 and AIOU Services Statutes.

Application Submission Procedure

 

1.Apply Online:Mandatory Step.

Submit your initial profile online through the AIOU Job Portal at careers.aiou.edu.pk. Applications without an online submission will not be entertained.


2.Generate and Pay Challan Form:Processing Fee.

Download the system-generated Bank Challan from the portal. Deposit the processing fee of Rs. 5,000/- (applicable for both BPS-20 & BPS-21 positions) at the designated bank.


3.Compile Your Application Dossier:Hard & Soft Copies.

Prepare the mandatory physical application packet containing:

  • 04 bound sets of hard copies (including online application form, attested academic documents, research articles, and the original paid bank challan).

  • 01 soft copy (CD) containing all documents in PDF format.

  • Detailed portfolios: Documentation of conference papers, details of M.Phil/Ph.D. students supervised, research grants/projects, and community development/social responsibility initiatives.


4.Mail the Dossier:Deadline: June 22, 2026.

Send your complete hard and soft copy dossier via registered courier or post to the Registrar's office on or before the cutoff date.

 

Important Terms & Conditions

  • Finality of Data: Information provided in the online application form will be treated as final. No subsequent claims or updates will be accepted after submission.

  • Government Employees: Candidates working in Government, Semi-Government, or Autonomous Bodies (including existing AIOU employees) must apply through the proper channel and submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) and service certificate from their controlling authority by the due date.

  • Rights of the University: AIOU reserves the right to increase, decrease, or withhold the recruitment process for any advertised post without assigning any reason.

  • Interview Expenses: No TA/DA (Travel Allowance / Daily Allowance) will be admissible for test or interview rounds.
