The High Court of Sindh invites applications from citizens of Pakistan who hold domicile and permanent residence in the Province of Sindh for regular appointment against eight (08) vacant posts of:

Additional District & Sessions Judge (BPS-20)

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the position, the applicant must fulfill the following conditions:

Educational Qualification:

Holds a Law Degree from a recognized university
OR

Is a Barrister of Law from England or Ireland
OR

Is a Member of the Faculty of Advocates of Scotland

Professional Experience:

Is a practicing Advocate of the High Court and subordinate courts with a minimum of six years practice
OR

Has held a judicial office for not less than six years with a clean record of service

c) Educational Qualifications

d) Enrolment as Advocate/Pleader (renewed up to date)

e) Domicile Certificate

f) Permanent Residence Certificate

g) Character Certificate from last academic institution

h) Two Character Certificates from non-relatives

i) Four recent passport-size photographs

j) Pay Order/Demand Draft of Rs. 5,000/- (non-refundable), in favor of Registrar, High Court of Sindh, Karachi

Important Notes:

Candidates who applied in June 2022 (Ad No. GAZ/VI/A.B(V)I) need not reapply. However, they must submit a fresh expression of interest by the closing date if they still wish to be considered.

Original documents must be presented at the time of interview.

Incomplete or ineligible applications will not be considered.

Candidates serving in public sector organizations must apply through proper channel with Departmental NOC and a copy of appointment order.

No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in any part of the selection process.

Selection Procedure:

Phase 1: Preliminary Test (MCQs)

Candidates must score at least 60% to qualify for the next stage.

Phase 2: Written Subjective Test (2 Papers)

Paper-I: Subjective questions based on relevant laws

Paper-II: Analytical and legal writing including:

Judgment writing

Essay writing

Situational analysis with recommendations

To qualify for the interview, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 60% in the written test.
