Recently, Zong has signed a contract along with the Higher Education commission of Pakistan (HEC) for providing the Wireless Broadband Services on the laptops that are offered to the aspirants cross wise the state under “Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme Phase-II”.

Under this agreement, Zong will provide free of cost 100,000 3G Dongles to the deserving aspirants who will also get Laptops in all over Pakistan. Higher Education Commission and Zong said that the main aim of this agreement is to provide the reliable and effectual connectivity access to the aspirants with the help of these Wireless Broad Band Services and improve their knowledge skills.

Chairman and CEO of Zong Mr. Liu Dianfeng said:

“We appreciate Prime Minister, the thought of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for putting more stress on Education and developing in the betterment of people of Pakistan. We all know that education plays an important role in the development of any country. Zong takes it as its responsibility to give to the lift of various social zones. It is along with this spirit that we have decided to come forward as well as assist the Government of Pakistan in its Prime Minister Laptop Scheme Phase II which will give the benefit to the thousands of bright students in Pakistan.”

Along with the 3G internet dongles from Zong, the aspirants will also enjoy smooth Internet services and also the access to HEC Digital Library.

These dongles will come together with the free of cost 3G internet services for almost 3months, after which the aspirants will be permitted to utilize the services according to the usual 3G tariffs from Zong.

Chairman of Higher Education commission, Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad said:

“Education can make much difference in social well-being of approximately 47 million Pakistani youth between which more than 2.6 million aspirants are getting Higher education. This creativity is an effort to offer more and more effectual means of education in series along with the vision of PM 2025. Higher Education Commission as well as Zong can work together to setup R&D centers, E-Classrooms and Innovation Centers for youth capacity building. The young generation of Pakistan is full of innovative ideas which need to be authorized with these platforms.”

Zong will also assist the Higher Education Commission in program designing, employment of scheme and the execution of this important project. There is no need to mention this here that 100,000 students from all over the Pakistan in government sector universities will be chosen to be given free laptops as well as the dongles.
