Lahore, A delegation of students from the University of Education called on Punjab Governor/Chancellor Sardar Latif Khosa on Monday and apprised him of the ongoing crisis at the varsity.
The students also requested the Governor/Chancellor to visit the varsity to ascertain the facts and take action accordingly. It is learnt that the governor assured the students that their genuine grievances would be redressed.
The University of Education students have been protesting ever since the removal of the varsity’s two faculty members, Dr MA Pasha and his wife Dr Shaheen Pasha, on January 17.
Dr Shaheen Pasha has been reinstated by the UoE syndicate recently while no decision has been taken about Dr MA Pasha.
The UoE delegation, led by Mujtaba Haider, including Sabahat Hassan, Raj Ali, Ayesha and Farrukh.
