University of Health Sciences has postponed the theory and the practical exams. The officials took this decision after the announcement of the education federal minister, Shafqat Mahmood to close all the educational institutes across Pakistan. Due to rapid transmission in the education institutes the education ministers of all the provinces and the concerned authorities unanimously decided to shut down the institutes from 26th November to 10th January. The data collected from the health department showed a continuous increase in the number of coronavirus cases. Moreover, the exams scheduled in this period have also been delayed until further announcement.
Issuance of Notification
The UHS posted the notification on Twitter and announced that all the undergraduate and postgraduate exams scheduled from 26th November to 24th December have been postponed in the wake of the rising coronavirus cases. The students are advised to follow the standard operating procedures to save from the second wave of the pandemic. Earlier it was pronounced that all the professional exams and the entry test will be commenced in the line schedule but now the exams could not be taken and the students have to wait for further notice.
New Schedule For Exams
It is informed to the students affiliated with the University of the Health Sciences that the new schedule of the exams will be announced later. As per the notification issued by the UHS, the academic and examination activities are being suspended in all the affiliated institutes of the UHS till 24th December. During this period the students will take the online classes according to the schedule formulated by their institutes and departments. Furthermore, the number of students in the hostels having internet connectivity problems will also be restricted according to the number recommended by the National Command and Operation Center.
