Lahore, June 2026: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore has officially launched the online migration process for students enrolled in the BS Nursing (Generic) 4-Year Degree Program at public sector nursing colleges across Punjab.
The initiative has been introduced under the Punjab government's newly approved migration policy, providing eligible nursing students with an opportunity to transfer to another public sector nursing college within the province. Students seeking migration due to academic, family, transportation, or personal reasons can now submit their applications through the designated online portal.
According to the official announcement, the online application process commenced on 15 June 2026 at 9:00 AM and will remain open until 29 June 2026 at 5:00 PM.

UHS has clarified that only online applications submitted through the official migration portal will be accepted. Manual submissions and hard-copy applications will not be considered.

The migration facility is available exclusively for students enrolled in the BSN Generic Program who meet the required academic criteria.
Students can apply if they have successfully completed the previous academic year:
Applicants seeking admission to the 2nd year must have passed the 1st year BSN examination.
Applicants seeking admission to the 3rd year must have passed the 2nd year BSN examination.
Students must have completed the required semesters before applying:
For migration to the 3rd semester, students must have passed the 1st and 2nd semesters.
For migration to the 4th semester, students must have passed the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd semesters.
Students awaiting supplementary examination results or those who have failed any required examination are not eligible to apply.
UHS has outlined several important conditions that applicants must follow.
The university will process applications strictly on a merit-cum-preference basis. Students must select their preferred institutions during the online application process. Final placement will depend on merit ranking, seat availability, and selected preferences.
Students should note the following restrictions:
Migration is not allowed during the first year of the BSN program.
Students in the final year are not eligible for migration.
Switching between morning and evening shifts is prohibited.
Transfers between annual and semester systems are not permitted.
Students can migrate only once during the entire four-year BSN degree.
Migration within the same city is not allowed.
Mutual migration between two students is not permitted.
The academic session of the student will remain unchanged after migration.
Eligible students can complete the application process online by following these steps:
Visit the UHS Migration Portal.
Open the BSN Generic Migration Application section.
Complete the online application form carefully.
Enter personal, academic, and institutional details.
Select preferred colleges based on available seats.
Review the preference order before final submission.
Generate the processing fee challan of Rs. 500.
Deposit the fee through any branch of the Bank of Punjab or online banking.
Upload the fee payment proof.
Attach all required scanned documents.
Submit the application before the closing date.
The migration process offers greater flexibility to nursing students facing challenges related to travel distance, family circumstances, or academic preferences. By introducing a centralized and transparent online system, UHS aims to ensure fair allocation of available seats while maintaining academic standards across public sector nursing colleges in Punjab.
Students interested in transferring to another institution are advised to review all eligibility requirements and submit their applications well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
Punjab's public sector BS Nursing students now have a limited-time opportunity to apply for migration through UHS. Eligible candidates must complete their online applications by 29 June 2026, as no manual applications or late submissions will be accepted.
