UHS issued merit list for admission in medical/dental institutes

Lahore, A division bench of the Lahore High Court gave last chance to the University of Health Sciences and the Punjab government to file their replies on the appeals challenging various provisions of entrance test for admission to medical colleges of the province on Thursday.  UHS Lahore has announced provisional merit list for the admission in medical and dental colleges of Punjab.

According to this issued merit list, the candidates will be admitted to 18 public sector medical and dental colleges of the province. The colleges will be allotted on the basis of merit, choice of the candidate and availability of seat.

The first selection list will be displayed on October 30. Total 3205 MBBS seats in 15 medical colleges and 216 BDS seats in three dental colleges in the public sector are available for candidates.

Justice Shahid Saeed headed over the bench and ordered the respondents to file a reply by October 24, the next date of hearing. Petitioners have filed their requisitions through Counsel Muhammad Azhar Siddique.

The counsel requested the court to issue commands to the authorities for ending the entrance test method for admission to the universities and colleges to provide equal opportunities of education to the youths in accordance with the constitution. Click the link below to check merit list.
