The University of Engineering and Technology has taken the decision to close the scholarships for orphans as well as for the needy aspirants. As per the details, the data of students who have been receiving scholarships for last three years will be re-examined. The university has announced the new policy to grant scholarships to the students. 

UET Scholarship Policy:

The scholarship policy will be implemented from the 2017 session at UET. For this purpose, UET has formed a three-member scholarship committee in each department. The sources have furthermore added that the scholarship committee will re-examine the data of orphans and the needy students. All those aspirants who have already received scholarships will have to re-apply.

The UET scholarship committee will be authorized to shortlist 30% candidates for the scholarships. The Orphan students will be given 10% to 100% of the fee in the form of scholarship while the varsity will provide 10% to 50% scholarships to needy candidates.

University Of Engineering and Technology Has Gone Bankrupt:

It is also important to mention here that University of Engineering and Technology has gone bankrupt and it has run out of money to pay the salaries to its employees. Percentage has been deducted as per the grades of the employees. 30 percent of grade 17 will be deducted, 20% of Grade 11 to 16 while 10% of 5th to 10th grade will be deducted. The deduction will be done from June salaries and afterwards it will be paid to employees.
