Terror Attack On The Karachi Stock Exchange, Pakistan

On Monday, 29th June, terrorists attacked the Pakistan stock exchange in Karachi. According to the sources, the 4 terrorists threw the grenade on the building; they use the automatic weapons and fire disrupted. As a result, 1 Policeman, 4 security guards and 1 Citizen embraced martyrdom. At the time of the incident, all the staff members were present inside the building. Afterward, the police and Rangers arrived at the location and killed the 4 terrorist that tried to attack the PSX.

Statement of Sindh Rangers:

After the incident, the Sindh rangers stated that all the terrorists have been shot down while the safety operation and currently the situation is under control. A wide range of weapons as well as hand grenades have been recovered from the possession of the terrorists. Now the area has been fenced off for further investigations. It is not clear yet that the assailants belonged to which groups and what were their intentions behind this massive attack.

The Pakistan Stock Exchange also issued a statement and said that the situation is still unfolding and the security personnel and the management are working to sort out the reason behind this attack.

The Financial Hub Of Pakistan:

Being the Financial Capital of Pakistan, Karachi holds great significance. All the major banks and the other financial services are situated in it. Moreover, the head offices of many private banks are also located here making it the financial hub. There is a heavy security presence for protection. The area is considered a high-security zone but still, this mishap happens.

Condemnation of Incident:

The Sindh governor, Imran Ismail and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan strongly condemned this terror incident. The PM also appreciated the services of the rangers and police forces that failed the mission of the terrorists. He furthermore added the nation is proud of the brave police man and rangers that have saved the people from the terrorists
