Amid a dramatic surge in recent coronavirus cases, Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho has warned against reopening primary schools whereas Education Minister Saeed Ghani insisted on reopening of schools by 28th September, 2020 .
 

Azra Pechoho’s Stance:

Speaking to a news channel, the minister told that the quality rate has multiplied from 1.5 per cent to three per cent which it'd be unwise to open up faculties at this stage. The statement comes because the provincial government gears up to open up middle level schools from 28th September 2020 that were earlier scheduled to resume from 21st September 2020.Sindh Health Minister said that the rate of corona is increasing, in the current situation it is not right to open schools and primary schools must be given at least one and a half months. 
 

Provincial Education Minister Saeed Ghani’s Stance:

On the other hand, provincial education Minister Saeed Ghani said that all educational institutions will be open from September 28, there is no problem in opening schools, corona cases have not increased but if the number of tests increased, the cases would increase. However, categories from six to eight were resumed across the country from 23rd Sep 2020 after approval from the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC).
