The Sindh government has introduced a program to give stipends to girls who go to school in the province.
To receive the stipend money, girls must study at a school with an active SEMIS code, the Education Department states. Students of Class 6, 9 and 10 can get access to the scheme for the academic year 2024–25.
According to the official notification, students must attend at least 60% of the days during August, September, October, November and December in order to qualify.
The government works to make sure girls can continue with their studies and remain at school often through the government school initiative. Both parents and students have praised the decision, saying it helps more girls in Sindh get an education.
