The federal minister for education and professional training, Shafqat Mahmood has said that board exams in Pakistan will be conducted after 15th June 2021. According to the announcement made by the education minister the priority will be given to the annual exams of matric and intermediate so that the board authorities can announce the result on time and the students can get admission in the universities. The minister has clarified the students and stated that the SSC and HSCC exams will be held and this year the exams will not be canceled. To get promoted to the next class the students have to appear in the annual exams. Moreover, the grading assessment is not the right way to evaluate the performance of the students as previous year the students got promoted without taking the exams.
Promotion of Students
Earlier the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference in which it had been proposed to promote the students of 9th and 11th class but the suggestion was rejected. It is informed to the candidates that the annual exams will be conducted in July as per the schedule. The education minister furthermore added that the priority will be given to the annual exams of the 12th and 10th class followed by the 11th and 9th class. Shafqat Mahmood said that the situation of coronavirus is getting better so the concerned authorities are hopeful that the matric and intermediate exams will be held according to the provided schedule.
The education minister has stated that the students have been demanding to award the school assessed grades and only A-2 examinations were being conducted in the country while all the other exams had been postponed. If the exams do not take place then the students will not study so by considering this situation the O/A level exams will be held in October/November series. Previously at the suggestion of the national command and operation Centre, all exams across the country had been delayed till 15th June 2021.
