The federal minister for education and professional training has announced to conduct the exams of elective subjects after 10th July. The decision had been taken in the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) that was held on 2nd June 2021. As per the statement of the education minister the exams will be conducted after 10th July 2021. Earlier it had been announced that the exams will be held after 24th June 2021 but two provide more time for the exam preparation now the exams will be commenced in July. The exams got postponed due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
Exams Of Elective Subjects
This year the students of the 9th and 10th class will only appear in the exams of elective subjects such as physics, chemistry, biology, and maths. Moreover, the students of the 11th and 12th class will take the exams of elective subjects only. By appearing in the exams of the elective subjects the students will be able to opt for the future educational field of their choice. It has been said that after the commencement of the exams the educational minister has issued the directives to finalize the result in the third week of September so that the candidates can take admission to the colleges and universities.
No Promotion Without Exams
The federal education minister said that the students will not be promoted to the next class without the exams. If the students get promoted without appearing in the exams, they will not focus on the studies. He added that due to the spread of COVID-19 the educational institutes have been closed for an extended time period so in order to facilitate the students the government has decided to minimize the subjects for the matric and intermediate exams as students remain unable to complete the coursework. The KP education minister has also announced that the matric and intermediate exams will be commenced in the KP province from 12th July 2021.
