Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad MPhil and Ph.D. Programme Admissions Are Open Now For Spring Semester 2020

All those students who were waiting for spring semester admissions are informed that Quaid-e-Azam university admission is open now for the MPhil degree program and Ph.D. degree program. According to the eligibility criteria of M.Phil. and Ph.D. students can apply for admission.

Admission Criteria For M.Phil

1. Candidate must have passed MA/MSc degree or its equivalent in the relative field.
2. First division in MA/MSc or BA/BSc or at least 60% marks in BS (Hons) are required.
3. Students who have passed BA/BSc or MA or MSc with the third division are not allowed to take admission.
4. If a student has a third division in FA/FSc, then he must  have obtained first division in both BA/BSc and MA/MSc or at least 60% marks in BS (Hons)

 Admission Ineligibility Criteria For M.Phil

1. All those students who were restricted or expelled by the university and college are not eligible.
2. Candidate applying for M.Phil. Who were earlier admitted in MPhil programs but later there degree was terminated by the university authorities.
3. Any students who are on the rolls of any other university or currently enrolled in the university.

Admission Marks Distribution Criteria

For admissions in MPhil/MS program the merit will be based on academic record, written test and interview by following the marks distribution criteria which are given below.

1. In written test candidate must have 40 or 50 marks and for interview candidate must score 10 marks if the university conducts an interview.
2. In the previous academic record, the candidate must have 50 marks which are the basic applying criteria. The total merit will be determined from 100 marks.
3. If the candidate has less than 45% marks in FSc, BSc, MSc in the annual examination system he/she will be graded zero out of 50marks.

Admission Criteria For PhD

1. In order to take admission to the PhD program, the candidate must have an MS/ MPhil degree or its equivalent in a relevant subject from a recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 or First Division.
2. The Ph.D. student must have scored at least 60% score in NTS, GAT Subject Test.
3.  In International GRE Subject test the candidate must have scored 60% percentile.

Last Date to Apply 

The Admission Form along with prospectus for all the academic programs can be obtained from the QAU Campus branches of Habib Bank Ltd. and Askari Bank Ltd. with fee charges of PKR 2000. However, the last date to apply for admission in M.Phil. program and Ph.D. program will be 27^th January 2020.
