Punjab University To Reopen In Different Phases

While keeping in view the suggested SOPs by the government and guidelines by the Higher Education Commission, HEC the University of Punjab announces a comprehensive schedule of reopening in different phases. Khurram Shehzad, the spokesperson of the University of Punjab said that the University is going to continue both types of teaching modes i.e. online classes and face to face classes. He also said that the students who are in the favor of online classes they would be granted 50% concession in tuition fee. However, the first phase of classes will be started on September 15th, 2020 to onward. Ph.D. and research students will be able to start their research and laboratory work from September 15th, 2020.

What Is The Complete Schedule Of Classes

All the semesters of BS, MA, and MSC classes will be continued until October 30th, 2020. The first annual examination session of MA and MSC part II classes and LLB all parts exams will start from September 26th, 2020 and the annual examination of Pharmacy and Geology will commence from October 1st, 2020. These exams will be conducted in the traditional manner.

During the first phase the admission process of BS, MA, and MSC level programs will begin. Admissions for MS, MPhil, and Ph.D. programs will start from October 1st, and hostels for Ph.D. and MPhil students will open from September 23rd.

The spokesman said that the second phase will begin from November 2nd, 2020 to December 15th, 2020. In the second phase, all the face-to-face classes will be commenced. However, those students who will prefer online classes in the second phase will be granted a 50% tuition fee.  

Other Preparations For reopening Of University    

For the medical fitness of the trainees and staff, the medical camp will be organized. More than 20 doctors from Services Hospital Lahore are directed for the medical checkup of more than 300 trainees and officers.
