Punjab University has announced the schedule of the commencement of classes for the new academic year. The admission committee was held on 12th November 2020 to discuss the situation of the coronavirus and formulate the plan for the students who enrolled in the academic session of 2020-2021. This year the admission process got delayed due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic and similarly the classes could not take place according to the proposed plan. As per the schedule announced the classes will be started from 14th December 2020. Earlier the university had issued the merit list of the selected candidates that successfully clear the selection phases to get admission to the Punjab University. The candidates that have secured the admissions in the various degree programs have to follow the mentioned schedule.
Schedule For Degree Programs
Punjab University is known as the best public sector university that accepts applications for admission in diverse domains. Currently, the university has provided the schedule for the new classes. The schedule will be followed for the following programs
- Undergraduate Program (Morning& Self-Supporting)
- M.A/MSc or equivalent programs (Morning &Self-Supporting) Semester/Annual
The Announcement by University Officials
By analyzing the situation of the COVID-19 the education ministers of all the provinces are considering closing the schools but no announcement has been made for the universities. However in the wake of the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic the Punjab University has decided to minimize the number of on duty staff members. According to the instructions, half faculty will work from the home while the other will come to the campus. Currently, M.Phil and Ph.D. scholars are allowed to attend the university to complete their research work. It is advised to the students to follow the precautionary measures to save from COVID-19.
