The Punjab government has taken another initiative to provide free meals to primary school children. Initially, the plan will be implemented in 100 schools by the school education department. Throughout the province, the new scheme will benefit the students. The Punjab education minister, Murad Raas has made this announcement through his Twitter account. He thanked the Allah Wallay Trust for providing the food and joining the hand with school education department to facilitate the students. He also posted pictures in which he can be seen sharing a meal with the students. The minister further mentioned that the Punjab government is working hard to assist the students.

Distribution of Free Meals In Primary Schools

Murad Raas announced that the government ensures to provide quality food to the children as the health of the students is our top priority. The step is taken to eliminate malnutrition across the province so that the students can eat healthy food. The people also appreciated the initiative of the Punjab government and said that this will help the students that come from impoverished backgrounds.

Schools To Remain Open

The federal education minister, Shafqat Mahmood has announced that the schools will remain open as the students have already faced the loss in the academic year. Currently, the government is not planning to close the schools as it will disturb the educational activities. There is only a slight increase in the number of coronavirus cases so all the provincial education ministers agreed that educational institutes across the country will run according to the schedule. The health officials have declared that the situation of the coronavirus is under control and urged the people to follow the SOPs.
