Lahore: The private sector universities have been told to comply along with both federal as well as provincial orders for recognition of their programmes as well as academic disciplines.

This order was given by the officials of higher education department and Punjab higher education commission during a meeting along with the principles of private universities across the province.

The secretary of higher education department Nabeel A Awan presided over the meeting organized at the Government College University (GCU), Lahore.

While addressing the meeting, Nabeel A Awan said that the private sector universities were fundamental in bringing the higher education sector of the country at par along with the international standards.

 Nabeel A Awan said that “The higher education department in association along Punjab higher education commission is working brilliantly to facilitate the universities of private sector across the province”.

Dr Zafar Iqbal Qureshi said that the matters of private sector educational institutes were being addressed in the light of recognition.
