Prime Minister's Youth Skills Development Program to be started from Feb 28

Islamabad, The Skill Development Scheme under Prime Minister Youth Program is going to be initiated on Feb 28. The federal government has decided to provide employment opportunities to more than 25, 000 youth and they would get special training to avail more opportunities. The age limit to apply for skill development program is 25 years of age. The formal inauguration of this scheme will be made on Feb 28 and at federal and provincial level they will get special training consist of six months duration.

During training they will get scholarships of  Rs 2000 per month and tranining institutes will also get Rs 3000 for each candidate.  The will get training in the fields of electriction, wood work, welding and other trades and after completion of their training program they would be able to find jobs across the country as well as abroad. It would be beneficial for the economy of the country and it would be strengthened by the skilled youths.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif has announced that the distribution of free laptops on merit basis to talented students will be continued this year.  He announced this at the meeting held in Lahore under the direction of CM Punjab. The meeting highlighted the arrangements and provision of facilities to students. They decided to continue laptop distribution scheme and will be delivered to talented students in different phases.

In the 2nd phase more than 2 Lac laptops will be awarded on merit basis with an amount of 8.5 billion while in 3rd phase over 1 lac laptops will be provided to brilliant students and  Matric students will also be included in 3rd phase.
