PMC Extends Deadline For Applications Submission Into Public And Private Medical Colleges

Pakistan medical commission has announced to extend the deadline for the submission of the admission forms into the medical & dental colleges. The PMC took its Twitter and stated that; the authorities took this decision due to the delay in the result pronouncement of A-levels. According to the sources, the result of the A-levels will be announced on 11th January 2021 so in response to this fact, the commission declared to put off the final date for the application submission through the national admission system. According to the statement issued by the PMC, the decision will be applicable for the closure of admissions in the public medical and dental colleges and the closure of the online portal for admissions in the private colleges. 

New Schedule For Admissions

Earlier the Pakistan medical commission had announced the schedule of the admissions in the private colleges. The authorities had directed the students to submit the applications by 8th January 2021. Until now the PMC has not decided new dates for the candidates to submit the admissions forms for the MBBS and BDS degree programs. The officials said that the new schedule will be announced soon. Now after the A-level result declaration, the candidates can submit the application form with their results. Furthermore, the PMC has also provided a list of the recognized public and private medical & dental colleges to which the students can apply. 

Cambridge Result Announcement 

This year due to the coronavirus pandemic the Cambridge assessment international education had canceled its series of May/June exams 2020. The officials had announced that the students will be awarded certificates without appearing in the exams. After the result announcement, many students had complained about the unfair grading. So the Cambridge international agreed to review the assessment mechanism and the grading procedures. Currently, the result compilation is under process and the result will be announced in January.
