Microsoft’s Imagine Cup world’s leading competition 2020 has started now. All interested candidates who want to participate in the company’s premier student technology and innovation competition the competition is live again in Pakistan for all students. This competition is presented by Higher education commission in this country which provides an opportunity to all students from various academics backgrounds to team up and develop a new technology application. The most innovative and brightest students will be given the opportunity to bring their passion to life and represent it in front of the whole world.

What is Imagine Cup Competition

The Imagine Cup competition is a skill-based competition in which every student around the globe can participate. The basic purpose of this competition is to bring motivation, innovation, ground breaking, and creative software at the top that is built with the latest tools of Microsoft and new technology. Imagine Cup competition can be different among students participating in different countries or area which you are repressing in the competition. 

How Competition Will Be Held

All students will be required to collaborate with other students which will consist of three people per team. In this competition, students have to develop an original technology project from start to end. They have to create an idea then make a plan to build the solution and compete with other students.

Imagine Cup competition will be held in rounds which will be organized by the Higher Education Commission and Microsoft in Pakistan. All the constants will be judged and selected to the Regional Finals held in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and Quetta City, respectively. However, the top three teams will be selected from each Regional final and they will be welcomed to the Imagine Cup National Competition in Islamabad. In the further round, three teams will have to compete and will be awarded the title of National Champion.

The finalist team will be sent to the EMEA Regional Finals held in Amsterdam. The top two teams from EMEA Regional Final will get the opportunity to travel to the Imagine Cup World Championship in Seattle. Likewise, they will have to compete for the cash amount and the title of World Champion.

Registration Details For Competition

1. In the Imagine Cup competition, all students around the world are encouraged to participate and register if they have an age limit of 16years or above.  
2. Those students who will win the National Finals will be given the opportunity to visit the EMEA Regional Finals, Azure credits, and entry into Microsoft Ignite.
3. The two brilliant teams who will win EMEA Regional Final will be rewarded with a cash prize of USD8,000, a trip to Seattle, and a spot in the World Championship
4. The three runner-up teams of Imagine Cup Competition from each World Regional Final will be rewarded with a cash prize of USD2500.

How to Register/Submit Applications

1. All applicants are advised to know well about local country/region competition rules in order to have a glance at how they can participate in the competition to better understand how to participate in this competition.
2. In the case of contradistinctions between the official rules and local country/region rules, the official rules will be applicable. 
3. All students are encouraged to apply and register with the application/solution that you and your team of up to three students have built.

All candidates who are eligible for Microsoft’s Imagine Cup world’s leading competition 2020 are advised to register to submit application forms before 23:59:59 GMT+5 on Sunday, 15 December 2019.
