Matric and Intermediate Exams To Be Held From 12th July, Says KP Education Minister

The KP minister for elementary and secondary education, Shahram Khan Tarakai has announced that matric and intermediate annual exams 2021 will be conducted from 12th July. The Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) was held today to take the decision regarding the commencement of the exams. The meeting was chaired by the federal minister for education and professional training, Shafqat Mahmood. The minister said that the exams of the 9th and 11th class will be held in the second phase after the conduction of the 10th and 12th class exams. Moreover, it has been decided that the students of the matric will be assessed on the basis of elective subjects and mathematics this year however the students of intermediate have to appear in the exams of elective subjects. The decision has been taken to make the examination process easier for the students. 

Practical Examinations

The candidates are informed that this year the practical exams will not be conducted and marks will be awarded to the students based on the performance in the theory exams. It has been furthermore added that no promotion will be granted without the exams. The students will not be awarded grades on the basis of the promotion policy and they have to take the exams in order to promote to the next grade. 

Statement of Shafqat Mahmood

After the meeting of IPEMC, the education minister has made the announcement regarding the commencement of the exams and matric/intermediate exams will be conducted after 10th July 2021. Earlier it was announced to hold the exams from 24th June 2021 but now the additional time has been provided to the students so that they can prepare for the exams. The education minister added that there will be a gap between the exams and ensured that the government will take all the necessary steps to facilitate the students. The exams of classes 10 and 12 will be held first from 10th July 2021 followed by the exams of classes 9 and 11. By conducting the exams of the elective subjects the performance of the students can be assesed that desired to choose a selected field.
