LUMS acknowledges its 368 brilliant students

Lahore: Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) organized its annual Deans’ Honour List (DHL) at 4 various ceremonies.

The event was particularly organized to give recognition to 368 of the brilliant students from all four schools of varsity.

As per the statement issued by LUMS on Monday, this year, the DHL ceremonies were designed on a larger as well as more glorious scale as compared to the previous years, where the aspirants from the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB), Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences (MGSHSS), Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE) and Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law (SAHSOL) were acknowledged for their exceptional academic performances during the academic year 2015-2016.

The vice chancellor of university Dr Sohail Naqvi said:

“These students have accomplished academic success through attentiveness and hard work. By committing themselves so passionately to the achievement of academic excellence, they are following in the very best academic traditions of LUMS and laying the foundations upon which they can make successful careers in their respective fields of study.”

He furthermore said that the education was the only answer to the current internal and external challenges faced by Pakistan, and that well-educated young generation was the need of the hour.

Upon getting the appreciation, one of the achievers said:

“This honor confirms the faith that hard work does get acknowledged and appreciated. It is a big achievement for me to be listed among the top merit successors. All this is because of the support from my teachers. I would like to take this opportunity to thank LUMS for offering such platforms where merit and excellence is acknowledged as well as celebrated.”
