Lahore, Maryam Nawaz has distributed 1,208 laptops among brilliant students of Allama Iqbal Medical College on Wednesday April 4, 2012.

 

While addressing on the laptop distribution ceremony at Allama Iqbal Medical College she said that talented students are the asset of the country and government is converting dreams of Quadi-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal into reality by promoting educational programs.  

 

She also said that we are living in the age of technology and it is need of the time that upcoming generation should attain a mastery over information technology to meet the challenges of the world. Distribution of laptops to students of south Punjab is on priority basis and development of Daanish schools is the best proof in promotion of education.  Heads of University of Health Sciences, Postgraduate Medical Institute, Services Institute of Medical Sciences and Dental College, deans, teachers, male and female students and their parents, Advisor to Chief Minister Begum Zakia Shahnawaz, MNA Anusha Rehman, Begum Khawaja Saad Rafique and social mobilizer Shaista Pervaiz Malik also attended the ceremony.

 


MNA Anusha Rehman appreciated women’s empowerment package of Chief Minister Punjab and said that youth is the future of Pakistan and they will transform the country according to the dreams of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal. Students of Allama Iqbal Medical College gave the title of Mir-e-Karvan to Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif.
