Lahore: Kinnaird College celebrated 16 days of social action for the elimination of violence against women by organizing a short film festival entitled as 'Her Talk' here on Monday at the college.
Well known Human Right Activist Faryal Gohar, Haseeb Khan, Women Development Secretary Bushra Amman, KC Principal Dr Rukhsana David, representatives of various NGO's and famous personalities from various fields of life were also present.

The event was organized by KC in association along with the All Pakistan Women Association (APWA) and the Punjab Women Development Department to raise awareness regarding elimination of violence against women.
Eight short films produced by the aspirants of Media Studies Department were screened at the event. Short film titled 'Ghalti Hai, Magar Humari Nahi' obtained first position.
Faryal Gohar, Haseeb Khan and Bushra Amman performed their duties as judges.

In her address, Faryal Ali Gohar admired the matchless efforts of aspirants for portraying sensitive matters of Pakistani society in short films.
While addressing, Principal Dr Rukhsana David appreciated students as well as encouraged them to continue a tireless working towards women empowerment.
She furthermore called for united efforts to eliminate violence against women. Later, appreciation certificates were distributed among the aspirants.
