Multan Board Leads the Provincial Pack

Securing the premier position in the Punjab 9th Class Result 2026BISE Multan proved its mettle by maintaining a steady upward trajectory in student evaluations. Out of 140,675 enrolled candidates who sat for the exams, an impressive 73,301 secured passing marks. This performance made Multan the sole educational jurisdiction in Punjab to breach the 52% threshold.

Close behind in second place, BISE Faisalabad demonstrated robust academic standards. Recording a pass rate of 51.21 percent, Faisalabad fell short of the top rank by a mere 0.90 percentage points, with 100,708 successful students out of 196,656 appearances. Meanwhile, BISE DG Khan clinched the third position nationally, registering a credible 48.18 percent success rate.

Major Educational Hubs: Lahore and Gujranwala

While massive metropolitan centers handle the highest volume of candidates, numbers do not always translate to the highest percentages. BISE Lahore managed the largest candidate turnout in the province, with 280,676 students appearing for the SSC Part 1 tests. Out of these, 130,543 successfully cleared their examinations.

Sharing the fourth position with Lahore is BISE Gujranwala, which registered 249,352 candidates with 115,966 passes. Curiously, both Lahore and Gujranwala recorded an identical rounded pass percentage of 46.51 percent, highlighting a balanced academic environment across central Punjab.

Analyzing the Lower Tiers of the 2026 Rankings

The lower spectrum of the Punjab 9th Class Result 2026 highlights areas requiring focused educational reforms. BISE Rawalpindi finished at the bottom of the provincial ladder, recording a pass rate of 37.56 percent out of 121,739 participating students.

Similarly, BISE Bahawalpur experienced a challenging cycle, securing the eighth spot with a 38.46 percent pass rate. Sargodha and Sahiwal maintained moderate standings, posting pass rates of 42.61 percent and 43.41 percent, respectively. The significant gap of 14.55 percentage points between the highest-performing board (Multan at 52.11%) and the lowest-performing board (Rawalpindi at 37.56%) underlines stark disparities in instructional quality, resource distribution, and curriculum implementation across different districts.
