In a significant decision, it has been agreed to introduce a uniform result card for all education boards across Punjab. Under this new arrangement, the result cards of all students will now display "Punjab Board" instead of mentioning the respective district board. This decision aims to streamline and standardize the education system in the province.

Approximately 4.5 lakh students who appeared for exams under the nine education boards across Punjab will receive the result cards with the uniform "Punjab Board" label. This move is expected to bring consistency and clarity in result documentation for students and educational institutions alike.

During a recent meeting of the Punjab Board Committee of Chairman (PBCC), the final decision to issue identical result cards for all boards was reached. Additionally, it was agreed to raise the passing marks for students to 40%, potentially raising the bar for academic achievement and ensuring students meet a higher standard of proficiency.

The formal approval for the implementation of these decisions is expected to be granted in the upcoming PBCC meeting. With this new uniform result card system, Punjab's education boards are poised to enhance transparency, comparability, and efficiency in the assessment and grading process, benefiting students, educators, and the overall education system in the province.
