The inter-board committee of chairmen has announced to follow the same paper pattern for the matric and intermediate exams 2021. The meeting of IBCC was held on 11th January 2021 to work on several agendas that include the schedule for board exams, paper pattern, and result announcement. By considering the ongoing situation of the coronavirus pandemic several decisions were taken in the meeting. The secretary PBCC previously suggested that annual exams of matric and intermediate can be conducted in MCQs based pattern to minimize the time schedule for the preparation of the result.

Paper Pattern For SSC and HSSC Exams

The proposal to hold the multiple-choice questions based annual exams has been rejected by the members of the committee as they stated that the authorities have already worked on the examinations so it is not possible to change the paper pattern for this year. Besides this, some students of part –II have to clear the papers of part-I so in this case, the change in the paper pattern will create confusion among such students as they have to attempt different papers for both parts. Furthermore, with the current paper pattern, the board authorities will be able to announce the result three months after the conduction of exams.

Schedule of Exams 2021

According to the announcements of IBCC, the annual exams of matric and intermediate will be conducted in May and June. Moreover, the federal minister of education and professional training officials has agreed to start the matric exams from the last week of May so that the result can be provided to the students on time. The next academic session will be started from August 2021 so the IBCC is hopeful to issue the result of the SSC and HSSC exams in the month of August and the students can continue their studies in the next grade without any disruption in the academic schedule.
