The higher education commission of Pakistan has warned the private universities and higher educational institutes to not grant admission to the colleges and other institutions. The announcement has been made on the official Twitter account of HEC. The commission has informed the educational institutes about the decision taken regarding the affiliation of the colleges. HEC is the standard setting national organization with regard to higher education in the country. The commission ensures to facilitate the educational institutes by providing them the facilities so that the students can get the best education in their affiliated field.
The Decision Of HEC
Due to the irregularities in the management and compromise on the quality of the education standards the higher education commission has directed the private universities to not affiliate the colleges directly without the permission of the commission as it will create mismanagement and the students will remain unable to get the better services that will impact their future careers. According to the announcement made by the HEC, the private sector higher education institutes can only be operational through their accredited principal seat/main campus and accredited sub campus having NOC of HEC as reflected by the commission. The HEC has provided the instructions for the educational institutes so that they can get the guidelines about the affiliation.
Issuance Of Degree
Moreover, it has been also said by the commission that any degree earned through the college/institution/center which is affiliated with the private sector university in Pakistan will not be recognized by the higher education commission of Pakistan. For the convenience of the candidates, the Commission has uploaded the list of the recognized educational institutes in which the candidates can take admission to continue their studies.
