HEC And Huawei To Increase Training Opportunities For Pakistani Students

With the rapid advancement, it the basic need of this era to get connected with the different types of technologies. The Huawei ICT Academy Program is one of the technology skill programs that offer its services on a global scale. The main goal of this program is to cooperate with the universities of the different countries and provide them the opportunities so that they can excel in this respective field. HEC launched this program back in 2017 so the students of Pakistan can also take the benefit and promote the digital platform.

Proclamation of Tariq Banuri

HEC Chairman Tariq Banuri attended the virtual ceremony as chief guest. He addressed that the government is working to bring the technological transformations and the program offered by Huawei is the best initiative to train the students through internship and training.

Increase in Training Slots

Recently HEC and Huawei announced to increase the slots of the training for the Pakistani students. The slots have been increased up to four folds from 800 to 3000 per year and MoU has been signed between HEC and Huawei. According to sources, almost twenty-six universities submitted the appeals to HEC about joining this program. Eight universities get selected and some of them are the University of Central Punjab, University of Peshawar, and Mirpur University of science and technology.
