HEC Alerts The Students About Fake Attestation Agents
The Higher Education Commission has alerted the students about the fake attestation agents. The commission has informed the students about the people who pretend to be agents and offer assistance to the students to get their academic documents and degrees attested. The announcement has been made on the official Twitter account of the HEC so that the candidates can follow the instructions provided by the commission regarding this matter.
Fake Attestation Agents
In some cases, the fake agents cheat the applicants by pasting fake HEC stamps or tickets on original degrees and academic transcripts. It has been clarified that the degrees with the fake stamps will not be considered by the commission. In this regard, a notification has also been issued to notify the students. The applicants are advised to follow the standard procedure of the degree attestation as prescribed by the commission instead of indulging in fraudulent practices. Moreover, strict action will be taken against the students with the fake attestation of the degrees.
Procedure of Attestation
The Higher Education Commission has notified the students about the proper procedure that how they can get their degrees and documents attested by the HEC. The candidates are required to fill the online application form on the web portal of HEC. The candidates have to create a user account and then have to submit the online application for degree attestation. After the submission of the application, the applicant will receive a confirmation e-mail or SMS. After receiving the message the candidates have the option to either go to the office or they can also schedule an appointment or send documents through courier to the HEC. Once the attestation will be completed the HEC will send a message or email to the candidates. The candidates have to submit the attestation fee of Rs1,000. It is mandatory for the candidates to submit all the required original documents along with photocopies of the documents.
