Islamabad: The FPSC has issued a new policy for an improved selection process for general recruitment for BS-16 to BS-21 posts under the federal government. A notification claims that a new policy would help reform the ex-cadre service on a big scale. FPSC conducts the exams and interviews for Federal service rules and Posts related to federation affairs. FPSC's role is recruiting merit-based candidates, civil servants, and bureaucrats. FPSC has the merit-based selection criteria 2020 for selecting the candidates on different levels.FPSC conducts two types of competitive exams.

 

  1. CSS Exam (Central superior service)
  2. FPSC General Recruitment Test

 

New federal recruitment policy 2020 quietly announced

 

For BS-16 and 17 scales if the maximum 20 applicants apply then the commission can dispense the screening test and call the candidates directly for interviews as per eligibility criteria. If there are more candidates then the candidates must gain 25% marks in the test according to Test Passing Criteria 2020 of FPSC. FPSC also arranges the Descriptive test to create a competitive benchmark after the screening test. If 20 thousand applications are received then the screening and descriptive test are held in batches. Those posts which require shorthand typing and computer literacy tests, 90% accuracy is required for a candidate to qualify and move towards shorthand or computer literacy as per FPSC Pre-Selection Guidelines 2020.

 

 

FPSC Test Passing Criteria 2020

 

For BS-18 and 19 scale posts, the candidates have to pass a written test consisting of 2 papers (100 marks each), one of the English Essay of 50 Marks and English composition, grammar, translation, and précis of 50 Marks. The second paper is of public administration and office management (50 Marks) plus Human resources, financial management, Quality management, and IT of 50 marks. The FPSC Test Passing Criteria 2020 for Professional and technical posts requires 100 Marks English paper and specialized paper related to the profession of the post and specialized qualification of 80 marks plus public administration, human resource, and financial management related to the field (20 Marks) announced in FPSC Pre-Selection Criteria Rules 2020.

 

Test Passing Criteria 2020 of Federal Public service Commission for BS- 20 and 21

 

The selection process for the posts of BS-20 and 21 through general recruitment shall be based on:

 

A fpsc written test comprising one paper of 100 marks via; English essay or case study relating to the field of the post will be conducted and 50 % of the written test to qualify the threshold. The written test passing candidates would be called for an interview according to FPSC GR Pre-Selection Criteria 2020 and the final list will be the aggregate of marks obtained.
