Major news for ECAT candidates! University of Engineering and Technology has announced the ECAT Test Result 2023. The UET ECAT 2023 result is announced on 25^th March 2023. All the candidates who appeared in the UET ECAT test which was held from 13^th March to 17^th March 2023, are now invited to check their official ECAT results from our website. After the announcement of ECAT result, admission process at UET will start from 27^th March 2023. All Candidates are advised to check their ECAT results from our website by providing their UET Entry Test Roll Number & CNIC number and then further complete the admission process for UET.

What is ECAT?

Engineering Colleges' Admission Test (ECAT) is a computer based test, conducted in Punjab, Pakistan each year for admissions in BE/ BS/ BSc Engineering degree programs. ECAT is conducted by the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore in various exam centres of Punjab. ECAT is mandatory for admission in the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, in its affiliated institutions and in all other government engineering institutions in Punjab. From 2023 to onwards, it is also mandatory for admission in private engineering universities/ institutes of Punjab.

ECAT Structure & Scoring

ECAT test consists of 100 multiple choice questions. Each question carries a score of 4 marks, with 1 mark deduction on each wrong answer. Total ECAT marks are 400. In an ECAT test 30 questions are from Mathematics, 30 from Chemistry, 30 from Physics, 10 questions comes from English language. According to the updated rules of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), from entry 2023 onwards, the passing marks for ECAT is 33% marks (132 out of 400) and the validity of the ECAT score is one year.
