Accreditation of Professional Degree Program by HEC

A professional degree is a degree which prepares someone for doing a profession such as teaching, treating, engineering, etc. A professional degree needs an accreditation or license. Accreditation is a process of quality check of an institute to scrutinize whether it meets requirements of a certain course/ professional degree or not.

In Pakistan, Higher Education Commission (HEC) has the authority to review the requirements of the Professional degree program in the professional degree program offering institutes all over Pakistan. For this purpose, HEC accreditation councils are in service to accredit all the undergraduate programs of the Higher Education Institution (HEIs). All the universities and colleges offering undergraduate professional programs are referred to their perspective accreditation council to get accreditation of HEC and make their degree programs reliable and authentic.

HEC has issued student alert to make students and their parents aware that how much important is the accreditation of Professional Degree Program, and if an institute or a program is not accredited, and someone gets admission in it, then even after graduation, their degree will have no value as if it was taken from a fake institute. So, to save the future of children, parents should confirm the accreditation of professional degree program before admission.
