243 students will be awarded with degrees in BNU 16th Convocation

Lahore, The Sixteen Convocation of Beaconhouse National University (BNU) is going to be held at 3:00 pm today, December 10, 2011 at its New Campus, Raiwind Road, Lahore. In this convocation, total number of 243 students will received their degrees. Out of these, 78 students will receive their M.Phil, MS and Masters Degrees and 165 will receive Bachelor degrees. In this year, 56 are from SVAD, 52 from SMC, 28 from SLA, 26 from IP, 25 from SA, 22 from SSS, 18 from SE and 16 from SCIT. All these students are from graduate degree holders.

A total number of 18 gold medals will be awarded to distinction holders in recognition of academic excellence achieved by them in their specific disciplines. From all these gold medalist, 15 are girl students and only three are boys. This year's convocation is also special and historic for the university since the number of BNU graduates thus far will cross the 1000 mark.

The Chief Guest of the convocation will be the Chancellor of the university and Governor of the Punjab, Sardar Muhammad Latif Khan Khosa. While Chairperson BNU Board of Governors, Mrs. Nasreen Mahmud Kasuri, Vice Chancellor, Mr. Sartaj Aziz, Mr. Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri and other members of the Board of Governors will be present.
