The Pakistan Institute of Prosthetic and Orthotics (PIPOS) is one of the oldest institutions related to the training of the human resource in the area of prosthetics and orthotics. An emerging need for training professionals who will effectively improve the living standards of the disabled, PIPOS seeks to meet this need in Peshawar. Having established and delivering quality education as well as training for vocational placement, the institute parades significant tasks of developing the specialty in rehabilitation and assistive technology.

Programs Offered

PIPOS currently provides a broad curriculum of diploma and degree programs in the specialty of prosthetics and orthotics. These programs aims at imparting the theoretical aspect and practicality of the course for developing prosthetic and orthotic devices. The courses are taught subjects such as biomechanics, material science and clinical practice so that the students get all rounded education.
