Latest Announcements – September 2026 Update:

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has extended the registration deadline for the National Registration Examination (NRE) Step-I to September 15, 2026. Candidates who have not yet completed their applications can now do so by submitting the prescribed fee before the revised closing date.

According to the council's public notice issued on September 9, the examination itself will still be held as originally planned, on Sunday, October 11, 2026, and will be conducted through the National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS), Rawalpindi.

The National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) has officially released the much-awaited NUMS roll number slip 2026 for candidates appearing in the rescheduled Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT). Following adjustments to the academic calendar, the NUMS MDCAT 2026 exam is officially scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 13, 2026. Aspirants who successfully completed their registration can now access the NUMS portal to retrieve their NUMS admit card 2026.

How to Download the NUMS MDCAT 2026 Roll Number Slip

Retrieving the NUMS MDCAT roll number slip is a straightforward digital process, but it requires careful attention to detail. Candidates can follow these step-by-step instructions to download their NUMS admit card:

1. Visit the Official Portal: Navigate to the official National University of Medical Sciences website or direct admissions portal .

2. Access the MDCAT Section: Click on the dedicated banner or tab labeled NUMS MDCAT 2026 Roll Number Slip / Admit Card.

3. Provide Credentials: Enter your unique credentials, such as your CNIC, B-Form number, or registered application reference number.

4. Generate and Verify: Once logged in, your NUMS roll number slip will appear on the screen. Cross-verify all printed details, including your full spelling of name, father's name, photograph, CNIC number, and allotted test center address.

5. Print Copies: Download the document as a PDF file and print at least two clear, colored copies on standard A4 size paper.

NUMS MDACT Exams Centers 2026

The bluish green color of the emblem signifies Gumbad e Khizra; the tomb of the Prophet Muhammad SAW and also the dominant color of Pakistani flag. It also indicates the importance of peace, tranquility, freedom, harmony, spirituality, serenity, happiness, and nature’s healing power.

HISTORY

This Federal Public Sector University was on 31st October 2015 under the Act of Parliament (XVII) of 2015. The President of Pakistan is the Chancellor of the University and the Chief of the Army Staff is the Pro-Chancellor. The university services of teaching and training dates back to pre-partition era. Previously Army Medical College, Rawalpindi, Punjab was affiliated with NUST, but now it is affiliated with NUMS. This military-run medical institute includes 8 armies run medical colleges which are the followings:

Infrastructure and Facilities

Besides the outstanding academic activities, the university also offers a wide range of extra and co-curricular activities for its students. The enormous infrastructure of the university also provides many facilities to its students like hostel, library, career development opportunities etc. To contribute to a wholesome development with all skills and arts like literature, fine arts, history, music and so on, a monthly evening of many shades called “Haft Rang” (Persian-means Seven Shades like rainbow) was held at NUMS. Speakers and presenters would be invited to develop an intellectual and healthy entertainment.
