Merit List
The admissions are advertised at the university’s official website and in the leading newspapers. The admission forms are submitted online or at the university office before the announced deadline. Candidates have to appear in a NTU entry test or GAT general for masters program .Successful candidates are informed via first second and third merit lists. The selected students have to submit some required documents as directed by the admission policy.
There shall be two semesters of 18 weeks each in a year.

Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Program
The eligibility criteria for undergraduate admission in most of the BS programs require Intermediate or equivalent with minimum 50% marks. (Mandatory Mathematics or relevant discipline as elective subject with at least (60% marks).However for visual arts and similar subjects, candidates holding Intermediate certificate (F.A., F.Sc.I.Com, I.C.S. etc.) or Equivalent, with at least 45% marks from any institute recognized by HEC in Pakistan or abroad are eligible to apply. Moreover, admissions to BVA Program requires candidate’s score in the University Drawing test (30% weight age), Marks of Intermediate (60% weightage) and Marks of Matriculation (10% weightage). Each bachelor course has its own specification which could be accessed at the university’s official website: http://www.ntu.edu.pk.
Admission to most undergraduate Programs is decided on the weightage of:
- The NTS or ETC (HEC) Test (30% )
- Marks of Intermediate (60%)
- Marks of Matriculation (10%)
Eligibility Criteria for Masters or PhD Program
To seek admission in masters or PhD program, candidate must have a graduate degree like, BS Textile Engineering or equivalent degree for masters program in textile engineering, from HEC/PEC recognized institution with a minimum CGPA 2.0/4.0 or 3.0/5.0 in semester system or 60% marks in annual/term system.
- The candidate will have to pass NTU GAT test.
- The applicant should not be registered as a student in any other academic program in Pakistan or abroad.
Admission merit list will be prepared according to the following criteria.
- BS MARKS 60% weight age
- NTU (GAT) SCORE General 30%weightage
- Interview 10% weightage
