The Bachelor of Science in Arabic (BS Arabic) is a course focused on preparing a student with in-depth knowledge of the Arabic language, literature and the Arabic culture. Minimum 50% marks in intermediate are required to get admission in BS Arabic degree program.
Most public universities start admissions in September and October. International Islamic university Islamabad starts admission in July.
Merit of BS Arabic degree program is calculated with the university given merit formula:
Public universities take admissions on purely merit basis. Every year merit of this program varies. Typically it starts from 75% and end at 65% in most public universities. And at the end at roundabout 60% in private universities as well.
To get admission in BS Arabic some public universities conduct an entrance exam for admission. To pass the test it is compulsory to get 50 marks out of 100 marks.
BS Arabic degree program consists of 132 to 135 credit hours in which 60% weightage is assigned to major subjects and 40% is assigned to the general subjects. Duration of the BS degree program is 4 years with 8 regular semesters qualifying with minimum CGPA 2.00/4.00.
Ans: To apply, they need to have finished Intermediate (FA, FSc, ICS, ICom) or equivalent with 45-50% marks.
