UMT Continues to Elevate Pakistan’s Global Academic Standing, Says Ibrahim Hasan Murad

The University of Management and Technology (UMT) has achieved another significant milestone in global academia by maintaining its strong international standing in the Times Higher Education (THE) Subject Rankings 2026. Securing positions across seven academic disciplines, UMT has set a positive and commendable example for Pakistan’s higher education sector.

According to the latest global rankings, UMT secured a 401–500 position worldwide in the Clinical and Health category. In Business and Economics, the university ranked within the 501–600 band. Similarly, UMT maintained its global position in the 501–600 range in both Physical Sciences and Engineering.

Furthermore, UMT achieved a 601–800 global ranking in Computer Science, while Social Sciences and Life Sciences were also placed within the 601–800 band. These achievements reflect the university’s growing academic excellence, research capacity and sustained commitment to continuous development.

Congratulating the UMT family on this accomplishment, President UMT Ibrahim Hasan Murad stated that the university’s global recognition represents a positive and encouraging development for Pakistan’s higher education landscape. He noted that this success is a direct outcome of UMT’s sustainable research policies, quality teaching practices and effective academic strategy.
