The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan, is the only institute providing cost and management accounting training, education, and additional professional certifications including ACMA. It was constituted back in 1951 and is a member of IFAC (International Federation of Accountants), SAFA (South Asian Federation of Accountants), and IASB (International Accounting Standards Board). ICMAP has been providing credible management accountants over the years. Some of the leading roles in the industrial areas include; Managing Directors, Chairpersons, General Managers, Chief Executive Officer, Director of finance, controllers, etc. 

Admission Process of ACMA

In the admission process for CMA, the candidates are required to submit all the attested copies of their past academic documents with CNIC. International students are required to send their documents to the Pakistan embassy. There is an option available for distant learning and candidates should mention if they are applying for DLP (Distant Learning Program) or not. 

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for ICMAP is the Intermediate examination with at least 45% marks from any recognized board Secondary or equivalent. To gain the certification of ACMA, a bachelor’s degree with the knowledge of accounting and 2 years of professional experience is required.

1. Masters (16 Years)
2. Bachelors (14 Years)
3. Intermediate (HSSC)/A-Level (12 Years of Schooling)

Provisional Admission

Students who have completed or are in the process of completing their Intermediate Part-II examination or have taken all subjects of their A-Level examination but are yet to receive their final results can apply for provisional admission at the Operational Level. Such provisional admission will only be confirmed when the official mark sheet or certificate confirming that the candidate has passed is submitted. In the meantime, the candidate will not be permitted to sit for the examination of the operational level.

Admission process

1. Application forms for registration, admission and subject exemptions are available from all ICMAP campuses, and from the ICMAP website (www.icmap.com.pk). The applicant should make sure that the forms are properly filled in and that all items required are completed. All items in which the applicant does not wish to join, should be marked “X”. While filling the admission form, students must show whether they want coaching, or they want to go through distance learning programme (DLP).
2. If the student chooses coaching option, they must mention whether they would like morning or evening classes. Students who want to combine distance learning with coaching for a few subjects, must check the boxes for distance learning and coaching on their admission form.

Admission Intake

The admission intake occurs twice a year for fall and spring sessions; March and September. Students can opt for their mode of learning either classes or distant learning. Distant learning is available at the Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad centers of the institute. Those students who are unable to join coaching classes can avail this opportunity. Whereas, coaching classes consist of two shifts morning and evening
