Islamabad, The Government of Punjab has excluded many important chapters based on Islamic values in the fresh Urdu text book edition for Matric class which has been printed in February 2013 and now available in market for new SSC students.

In new syllabus, Poems of the great poet, Allam Iqbal, Islamic ideology of Pakistan, Hazrat Umar (RA)- a Great Administrator and several other key chapters have also been omitted.  All the Islamic poems including Rabbe Kainaat of Maulana Altaf Hussain Hali, Mohsin-e-Insaniat (PBUH)’ (the Saviour of Humanity) by Mahirul Qadri, ‘Tulu-e-Islam’ (the rise of Islam) of Allama Iqbal, Hazrat Abu Bakar Siddiq (RA) by Allama Iqbal, Shaan-e-Taqwa by Allama Iqbal etc have also been excluded in the new text book.
 
The title page of the book has the picture of Allama Iqbal, but there is not any poem of great poet of Islam and Pakistan.
 
The very first chapter of the new text book is an essay on writer Mirza Muhammad Saeed written by Shahid Ahmad Dehlvi.
 
The second chapter in the old book was on ‘Ideology of Pakistan’ which emphasized the foundation for the creation of Pakistan and the country was made in the name of Islam. The new book contains chapter on ‘Princess of Paristan’ (Paristan ki shahzadi) written by Ashraf Saboohi.
 
Likewise the chapters like ‘Sacrifice’ (Eisaar) by Deputy Nazir Ahmad has also been removed.  Another important chapter of the old book ‘Fatima binte Abdullah’ written by Mirza Adeeb has also been omitted from the new Urdu book of 10th class for Punjab students. The story is about the teachings of Jihad.

Another chapter about Mahroom-e-Virasat by Allama Rashidul Khairi has also been let off. ‘Safar Kamiabi ki Kunji hai’ written by Moulana Abdul Haleem Sharar, is also disappeared. It was based on adventures, jihad, travelling etc of the great Muslim leaders.
 
Moreover, all the Islamic poems including Rab-e-Kainat of Maulana Altaf Hussain Hali, Talu-e-Islam of Allama Iqbal, Mohsin-e-Insaniat of Mahirul Qadri, Siddiq (RA) on Hazrat Abu Bakar Siddiq (RA) by Allama Iqbal, Shaan-e-Taqwa by Allama Iqbal etc have also been exculded in the new text book.
 
The cover page of the book contains the picture of Allama Iqbal, and ridiculously there is no any poem of the great poet of Islam and Pakistan. Omitting very inspiring Islamic poetry from the book, the new text book is starting with a Hamd and Naat.
