Eligibility Criteria

  • Be applying to or already be in a graduate research program at the University of Melbourne.
  • Be doing research in human rights.
  • Not already have a research degree that's the same level or higher.
  • Never have gotten a graduate research scholarship from the University of Melbourne before.

Scholarship Benefits

  • Full Tuition Fee Waiver: Up to 2 years (Master’s), 4 years (PhD)
  • Living Allowance: AUD $43,500/year (2025 rate), with limited paid leave
  • Relocation Grant: AUD $2,000 (within Australia), AUD $3,000 (from overseas)
  • OSHC: Health insurance for international students needing a visa
